About Us
L&K Tennis was created by Lesley Thomas and Kate Bull in October 2018. Lesley and Kate are Level 3 accredited tennis coaches with a passion for encouraging girls to play tennis.
Attending training with Judy Murray in October 2016, they became Miss-Hits coaches and their journey to developing L&K Tennis started. The first Miss-Hits sessions in the Scottish Borders took place in Hawick with around 20 girls taking part. Some of these girls are still coming to L&KTennis coaching sessions on a weekly basis. After Hawick, they introduced it in Kelso, Selkirk and Galashiels with great success.
Following on from this, they created Little Miss Reds which is a follow on to Miss-Hits and the girls play mini red tennis. They have just created mIss Oranginas.
In October 2017, Kate was selected to be a She Rallies Ambassador for the South of Scotland, attending training with Judy Murray. Since then Lesley and Kate have helped at the Scottish Miss-Hits Christmas party, walked the Kiltwalk for the Judy Murray Foundation, ran a charity fundraiser for Cash for Kids and assisted Judy Murray and Kris Soutar when they brought tennis on the road to Kelso Orchard Tennis Club.
Launching in October 2018, our brand new ‘Girls Tennis Community’ will allow girls of all ages and abilities to play tennis in a fun and enjoyable environment. Making new friends, playing competition and learning new skills is the aim of the GTC. Sessions will be held around the borders, including Hawick and Kelso.
